History

When subsidies for the material research and testing institute MFPA Leipzig e.V. dried up in the year 2000, the decision was taken to close it down. Thankfully, the vast expertise accumulated on façades and fixing systems was preserved through the establishment of

IFBT GmbH - Institute of Façade and Fixing Engineering

in early 2001.

Thanks to a motivated, creative team using state-of-the-art testing technology, IFBT has earned itself an outstanding reputation as an efficient partner performing a wide range of testing and development services for the construction industry.

IFBT intends to continuously improve its expertise by systematically developing a powerful cooperation network.
